Weardrobe (“the App”) is developed by solofam (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
How the App Works (Offline-First + Cloud Backup)
Sign-in is required to use the App. We support sign-in with Google and Apple accounts (availability may vary depending on device and platform).
The App is designed to work offline. Your wardrobe entries and photos are stored locally on your device so you can use the App without an internet connection. When you are online, the App syncs and backs up your data to the cloud using Firebase to help restore your data if you reinstall the App or change phones.
Information We Collect
- Account information: identifiers from Google or Apple Sign-In. Depending on your provider settings, this may include name and email address (Apple may provide a private relay email address).
- User content: photos/images you add (e.g., clothing photos), outfits, items, dates, tags, notes, and preferences you create in the App.
- Device & usage data: basic diagnostics such as crash logs, performance data, and analytics events (for example, screens opened and feature usage). This may include device information (model, OS version, app version) and approximate usage timestamps.
- Subscription information: purchase status and transaction identifiers needed to unlock premium features. Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we do not receive your full card details.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide core app functionality (creating and viewing wardrobe items/outfits, local storage, and offline use).
- Provide sign-in and cloud sync/backup using Firebase.
- Enable premium subscriptions and verify entitlement (premium access).
- Improve reliability and user experience (debugging, crash analysis, analytics).
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you when you contact us.
Where Your Data Is Stored
- Local device storage: Your wardrobe data and photos are stored locally on your device (app storage). Uninstalling the app typically removes local app storage from that device. Some temporary cached files may be created for performance and may be cleared via your device settings.
- Cloud backup/sync: When signed in, the App stores and syncs your content using Google Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Storage for Firebase). The storage region depends on the Firebase/Cloud Storage location selected for the project.
Cloud Backup Availability
Cloud sync/backup depends on network connectivity and third-party services (such as Google Firebase). We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of cloud services. Your local device copy is the primary copy while the App is installed on that device.
Cloud backup is provided as a convenience and is not a guaranteed archival service.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share information only in these cases:
- Service providers: with vendors that help us operate the App, such as Google Firebase (and related Google Cloud services) for authentication, database, storage, analytics, and crash reporting.
- Legal/safety: if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
- With your direction: if you choose to share content using a sharing feature.
Data Retention
- Local data: remains on your device until you delete it in the App, clear the App’s storage/data, or uninstall the App (device behavior may vary).
- Cloud data: remains in our Firebase project while your account is active or until you request deletion. We may retain limited records as required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or security purposes.
Your Choices & Controls
- Request deletion: You can request deletion of your cloud account data by emailing weardrobe.contact@gmail.com. We may ask for verification to protect your account.
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes the App from your device and typically removes local app storage from that device.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 years old. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above shows the latest revision.
